While online, wait for “Ready to sing offline”; this confirms both the cached reader and the remembered book. For an iPad Home Screen app, open the installed app online and prepare/import there too; do not assume Safari’s saved copy transfers. Keep your original EPUB. Browser cleanup or eviction can remove both copies. Offline mode does not bypass device restrictions: the app itself must be allowed to open.
